  • About Diamond Creek
Diamond Creek is quite a large suburb of Melbourne located 23km northeast of Melbourne CBD and lies on Wurundjeri land. The name was derived from a local legend that says a bull with a diamond shaped white patch on its head tried to cross the creek. In 1863, gold was discovered in the area. There are a few schools in the local area including Diamond Valley College, Sacred Heart primary School, Diamond Creek Primary School and Diamond Creek East Primary School. Diamond Creek Reserve in the south of the suburb provides numerous walking and cycling tracks alongside the Diamond Creek. The main retail precinct is located near Diamond Creek Station, with the Diamond Creek Community Centre, Diamond Creek Bowling Club, Coventry Oval, Marngrook Oval and Nillumbik Park all close by. Diamond Creek Wines, Golden Hill Brewery and Diamond Creek Hotel are popular spots for food and drink in the area. The Diamond Creek Town Fair is organised every year by the Rotary Club, with the Tram cafe located on site at their headquarters.
    • Diamond creek railway station - 15 min (8.6 km) via Diamond Creek Rd/State Route 46 and Greensborough Bypass/State Route 46
    • Diamond Creek Reserve - 8.1km
    • Golden Hills Brewery - 8.3km

  • What does a Podiatrist do?
Podiatrists are specialists in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of lower limb and foot conditions.
  • Do I need a referral to see a Podiatrist?
No. Anyone can come and see a Podiatrist. If you have private health insurance which covers 'Podiatry' services, a rebate will apply. However, if you are having your costs covered by Workcover, the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) or through the Enhanced Primary Care (Medicare) Program you will need to be referred to our clinic by your general practitioner.
  • Do you have HICAPS?
Yes. We have a HICAPS terminal on site which allows you to claim your consultation on private health after your appointment. If you forget your private health card, we can email you a copy of your invoice and you can claim directly with your private health fund.
  • Is Podiatry bulk billed?
If you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan from your GP, your podiatry consultation will be bulk billed. You are entitled to 5 visits covered on an EPC by Medicare for allied health services per calendar year. Your GP will determine whether you are eligible for this program. If you do not have an EPC, your consultation will not be bulk billed by Medicare.
  • Is there Parking and disabled access?
Yes there is both. We have parking directly out the front of the clinic. There are no stairs into the clinic, therefore allowing for disabled access. We also have bathroom facilities on site that allow for disabled access.
